입트영 0623 - Colonoscopy

by 경제구리 2021. 6. 23.

Talk about colonoscopies.

My mother passed away from colorectal cancer.

I heard that family history can raise the risk of colorectal cancer, so I decided to get a colonoscopy during my most recent medical check up.

I heard a lot of stories that made me feel apprehensive.

I had to watch what I ate the day before.

Being unable to eat made me feel listless and low on energy.

The next day, I mixed my prescribed medication with water and started to drink it.

A few minutes later, my stomach rembled, and I got the runs.

It was like someone had opened a tap.

I couln't even get to my bedroom.

I had to rough it out in the bathroom.

After all that, I got my colonoscopy.

Thankfully, the test results showed that my large intestine and stomach were both in good shape.

But I would rather not get a colonoscopy again.
